Installation Procedure

  1. Install a new gasket, if necessary.
  2. Install the throttle body assembly.
  3. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  4. Install the throttle body nuts and the bolts.

    Tighten:  Tighten the nuts and the bolts to 28 N.m (21 lb ft).

  6. Install the inlet (3) and the outlet (4) hoses to the throttle body.

  8. Install the heater pipe nut to the throttle body.

    Tighten:  Tighten the nut to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).

  10. Connect the TP sensor electrical connector.

  12. Connect the IAC valve electrical connector.
  13. Install the accelerator controls cable bracket. Refer to Accelerator Controls Cable Bracket Replacement .
  14. Install the air cleaner intake duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Intake Duct Replacement .
  15. Fill the cooling system. Refer to Draining and Filling Cooling System in Engine Cooling.
