Installation Procedure

  1. Install the radiator.
  2. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  3. Install the 4 bolts attaching the A/C condenser to the radiator.

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolt to 6 N.m (53 lb in).

  4. Install the grille. Refer to Grille Replacement in Exterior Trim.

  6. Install the coolant recovery reservoir hose to the radiator filler neck.
  7. Reposition the coolant recovery reservoir hose clamp to the coolant recovery reservoir.
  8. Install the engine oil cooler lines to the connector fittings. Refer to Engine Oil Cooler Pipe/Hose Quick Connect Fitting .
  9. Install the transmission oil cooler lines into the connector fittings. Refer to Transmission Fluid Cooler Line Quick Connect Fitting in Automatic Transmission.

  11. Install the radiator inlet hose to the radiator.
  12. Using the J 38185  reposition the radiator inlet hose clamp to the radiator. See Special Tools .
  13. Install the radiator outlet hose to the radiator.
  14. Using the J 38185  reposition the radiator outlet hose clamp to the radiator. See Special Tools .
  15. Install the lower fan shroud. Refer to Fan Shroud Replacement - Lower .
  16. Fill the cooling system. Refer to Draining and Filling Cooling System .
