Removal Procedure

    CAUTION: Refer to SIR Caution in Cautions and Notices.
  1. Disable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling Zones in SIR.
  2. Remove the lower steering column trim cover. Refer to Steering Column Trim Covers Replacement in Steering Wheel and Column.
  3. Disconnect the A/T shift lock control actuator electrical connector.
  4. Place the shift lever clevis into the neutral position.
  5. Use a small screwdriver to pry the A/T shift lock control actuator from the steering column jacket assembly.
  6. Remove the A/T shift lock control actuator from the steering column.
