Removal Procedure

    CAUTION: Refer to Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) Flammability Caution in Cautions and Notices.
    CAUTION: Refer to Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) Fuel Pressure Relief Caution in Cautions and Notices.
  1. Relieve the fuel system pressure. Refer to Fuel Pressure Relief Procedure .
  2. CAUTION: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in Cautions and Notices.
  3. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnect/Connect Procedure (Single Battery) Battery Negative Cable Disconnect/Connect Procedure (Auxiliary Battery) in Engine Electrical in the C/K Pickup Service Manual.

  5. Remove the tank cover (2). Refer to Fuel Tank Cover Replacement .

  7. Disconnect the fuel tank pressure (FTP) sensor connector (1).
  8. Remove the FTP sensor (2) from the high pressure lock-off (HPL) solenoid.
