Removal Procedure

  1. Raise the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
  2. Fig 1: Identifying Rear Battery Cover & Bolts

  3. Remove the rear battery cover bolts (1) and cover (2).
  4. Disconnect the negative and positive battery cables.

  6. Loosen the lower battery box slide nuts (1).

  8. Drop down the lower battery box to access battery.

  10. Remove the battery hold-down bolt and hold-down.

  12. Remove the battery from lower battery box.
