Installation Procedure

  1. Install the SDM.
    2. CAUTION: Refer to Sensing and Diagnostic Module Handling Caution in Cautions and Notices.
    NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  2. Install the SDM mounting bolts.

    Tighten:  Tighten the SDM mounting bolts to 10 N.m (89 lb in)  .

  3. Connect the SDM electrical connector.
  4. Install the CPA lock, which is tethered to the SDM connector.
  5. Install the floor console. Refer to Front Floor Console Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gauges, and Console.
  6. Enable the SIR. Refer to Enabling the SIR System .
