Installation Procedure

  1. Install the fuel feed pipe to the fuel rail Refer to Quick Connect Fitting(s) Service (Metal Collar) .
    2. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

  2. Install the engine fuel feed pipe fasteners located on the engine.

    Tighten:  Tighten the fuel feed pipe fasteners to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

  3. Connect the engine fuel feed pipe to the chassis fuel flex hose. Refer to Quick Connect Fitting(s) Service (Metal Collar) .
  4. Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnect/Connect Procedure in Engine Electrical.
  5. Inspect for leaks using the following procedure:
    1. Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF for 2 seconds.
    2. Inspect for fuel leaks.
    3. Turn OFF the ignition for 10 seconds.
    4. Turn ON the ignition.
