Installation Procedure

  1. Position the exhaust pipe heat shield to the underbody.
    NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice .
  2. Install the exhaust pipe heat shield nuts.

    Tighten:  Tighten the nuts to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

  3. Install the muffler. Refer to Muffler Replacement (Sedan LS, LT, Maxx LT)  or Muffler Replacement (Sedan LTZ, Maxx LTZ)  or Muffler Replacement (Sedan SS, Maxx SS) .
  4. Install the exhaust heat shield. Refer to Exhaust Heat Shield Replacement .
