Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2006 Buick LaCrosse and 2006 Buick Allure. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Install the battery heat shield. Refer to CELL LINK  .
    2. Fig 1: Identifying Battery Tray & Bolt

  2. Install the battery into the vehicle.
    3. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  3. Install the battery retainer and bolt.

    Tighten:  Tighten the battery retainer bolt to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).

  4. Connect the battery positive cable to the battery.

    Tighten:  Tighten the battery cable bolt to 17 N.m (13 lb ft).

  5. Connect the battery negative cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnect/Connect Procedure (L26)  or Battery Negative Cable Disconnect/Connect Procedure (LY7) .
