Removal Procedure

CAUTION: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in Cautions and Notices.

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the variable intake system (VIS) vacuum tank. Refer to Intake Manifold Tuning (IMT) Valve Vacuum Reservoir Replacement .

  3. Remove the wiring harness from the support bracket.

  4. Disconnect the knock sensor wiring harness connector.
  5. Remove the knock sensor.
