Installation Procedure

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

  1. Install the knock sensor.
  2. Tighten:  Tighten the knock sensor retaining bolt to 19 N.m (14 lb ft)  .
  3. Connect the knock sensor wiring harness connector.

  4. Install the wiring harness to the support bracket.

  5. Install the VIS vacuum tank. Refer to Intake Manifold Tuning (IMT) Valve Vacuum Reservoir Replacement .

    Tighten:  Tighten the VIS vacuum tank retaining bolts to 8 N.m (71 lb in)  .

  6. Connect the negative battery cable.
