Installation Procedure

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

Install the starter-to-engine block mounting bolt and the transmission-to-starter mounting bolt.
Tighten:
- Tighten the starter-to-engine block mounting bolt to 45 N.m (33 lb ft) .
- Tighten the transmission-to-starter mounting bolt to 50 N.m (37 lb ft) .

Position the starter electrical wire on the solenoid terminals and the ground wire.
Install the starter solenoid nut.
Tighten: Tighten the starter solenoid nut to 7 N.m (61 lb in) .
Connect the starter solenoid connector.

Install the air inlet hose.
Install the air inlet hose bolts.
Tighten: Tighten the air inlet hose bolts to 6 N.m (53 lb in) .
Connect the negative battery cable.
