Removal Procedure

    CAUTION: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in Cautions and Notices.
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the serpentine accessory drive belt by lowering the vehicle and turning the automatic tensioner roller bolt clockwise to relieve tension on the belt. Refer to Power Steering Pump Drive Belt Replacement (2.5L) in Power Steering System.

  3. Disconnect the harness connector form the back of the generator, and the generator lead to the battery.

  4. Carefully remove the generator with the bolts.
