Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the upper fan shroud. Refer to Fan Shroud Replacement in Engine Cooling.
  2. Remove the drive belt. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement in Engine Mechanical 4.3L or Drive Belt Replacement - Accessory or Drive Belt Replacement - Air Conditioning in Engine Mechanical 4.8L, 5.3L, and 6.0L.
  3. Remove the power steering pump pulley using the J 25034-C  . See Special Tools and Equipment .
