Installation Procedure

  1. Install the steering wheel to the steering shaft.
    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.
  2. Install the steering wheel retaining nut.

    Tighten:  Tighten the steering wheel retaining nut to 41 N.m (30 lb ft).

  3. Install the horn plunger to the steering column.
  4. Install the steering wheel inflator module. Refer to Inflatable Restraint Steering Wheel Module Replacement in SIR.
  5. Enable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling Zone 3 in SIR.
