Installation Procedure

  1. Install the inflatable restraint I/P module (3).
    NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  2. Install the 2 bolts (2) that retain the inflatable restraint I/P module to the I/P carrier.

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolts to 9 N.m (80 lb in).

  3. Install the inflatable restraint I/P module connector (1).
  4. Install the CPA retainer (2).
  5. Install the clip that retains the inflatable restraint I/P module harness to the I/P (3).

  6. Install the right knee bolster. Refer to Knee Bolster Replacement - Right in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.
  7. Enable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling Zone 5 .
