Removal Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 Pontiac Grand Am and 2003 Oldsmobile Alero. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Remove the left closeout/insulator panel. Refer to CLOSEOUT/INSULATOR PANEL REPLACEMENT - LEFT (OUTBOARD) or CLOSEOUT/INSULATOR PANEL REPLACEMENT - LEFT (INBOARD) in Instrument Panel, Gages, and Console.
  2. Remove the I/P dimmer module bolts (3).
  3. Remove the I/P dimmer module (2) from the HVAC bracket.
  4. Disconnect the electrical connector (1) from the I/P dimmer module (2).
