Installation Procedure

  1. Apply a thin coat of wheel bearing lubricant GM P/N 1051344, or the equivalent, to the transmission input shaft.
  2. Install the clutch release shaft fork (1) into the transmission housing; secure the clutch release bearing (2) to the clutch release shaft fork (1).
  3. Install the manual transmission assembly into the vehicle. Refer to TRANSMISSION REPLACEMENT - 2WD or TRANSMISSION REPLACEMENT - 4WD in Manual Transmission.
