Accelerator Controls Cable: Installation

  1. Install the accelerator control cable to the cable bracket. Connect the accelerator control cable to the throttle lever. See Fig 2.
  2. Secure the accelerator control cable with the cable locknut and the cable adjusting nut. Do not tighten fully. Push the accelerator control cable through the bulkhead grommet.
  3. Connect the accelerator control cable to the accelerator pedal. See Fig 1. Adjust the accelerator control cable end play and the accelerator pedal free play See THROTTLE CABLE ADJUSTMENT under IDLE SPEED & MIXTURE in ON-VEHICLE ADJUSTMENTS - TRUCKS - TRACKER article.
