Installation Procedure

NOTE: The wheel speed sensor is a tight fit and is to be pushed in by hand. DO NOT force the sensor into position, as damage to the sensor could result.

NOTE: Wheel speed sensors must be given an anti corrosion coating before installation to prevent corrosion. Use silicone grease P/N 12345579 or equivalent.

Install the rear wheel speed sensor assembly (1) into the axle housing (2).
NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.
Install the wheel speed sensor retaining bolt.
Tighten
1. Tighten the bolt to 7.8 N.m (69 lb in).
Perform DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK - ABS .
