Removal Procedure

CAUTION: Refer to BATTERY DISCONNECT CAUTION in Cautions and Notices
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the knee bolster from the instrument panel. Refer to KNEE BOLSTER REPLACEMENT in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.
  3. Remove the cruise control release switch electrical connector from the cruise control release switch.
  4. Loosen the cruise control release switch lock nut.
  5. Remove the cruise control release switch (1) from the brake pedal bracket by turning counterclockwise.
