Removal & Installation: Generator: Removal
NOTE:
Generator does not require periodic lubrication. The rotor shaft is mounted on bearings. Each bearing contains a permanent grease supply. Periodically check mounting bolts for tightness, and drive belt tension. The drive belt is self-adjusting, within operating limits of tensioner. CS 130D generator is serviced as a complete unit.
- Disconnect negative battery cable.
- Remove drive belt from generator.
- Place coolant recovery reservoir aside for access.
- Remove bolts (1, 2, 3) from generator. See Fig 1 .
- Disconnect electrical connector from generator.
- Remove protective boot from generator output BAT terminal.
- Remove generator output BAT terminal nut and remove positive battery lead from generator.
- Remove generator.
