Removal Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 Cadillac Eldorado. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

The headlamp switch uses skin locks which grab the soft skin material of the IP. The skin lock feature may cause the switch to be hard to remove.

Important:  The upper tabs are located to the top left of the headlamp switch knob and directly above the fog lamp switch.

  1. Insert a flat-bladed tool between the instrument panel and the top of the headlamp switch assembly (2).

    Carefully depress the 2 tabs securing the top of the switch to the instrument panel.

  2. Depress the 2 lower tabs in order to remove the switch from the instrument panel.

  3. Disconnect the electrical connectors.
  4. Remove the headlamp switch assembly.
