Removal Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 Cadillac Seville. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Remove the radio. Refer to Radio Replacement (U1R, UL6, UM5, UM9)  or Radio Replacement (U3Q, U3R, U3S) .
  2. Remove the left console trim panel. Refer to CONSOLE TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT - LEFT .

  3. Disconnect the radio antenna extension cable (2).

  4. Cut off the radio end of the radio extension cable (1).
  5. Disengage the extension clip from the instrument panel carrier.

    Important:  Note the routing of the antenna extension cable through the instrument panel carrier before removal.

  6. Pull the radio antenna extension cable from the instrument panel (IP) harness.
