Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the left front sunshade. Refer to SUNSHADE REPLACEMENT .
  2. Remove the garnish molding from the left front windshield. Refer to GARNISH MOLDING REPLACEMENT - WINDSHIELD PILL .
  3. Remove the instrument panel (IP) trim pad. Refer to TRIM PAD REPLACEMENT - IP UPPER .
  4. Untape the global positioning sensor (GPS) antenna coaxial cable from the OnStar® harness and unroute the harness from the IP.
  5. Disconnect the GPS antenna coaxial cable from the vehicle interface unit (VIU).
  6. Remove the antenna from the windshield and the roof panel.
  7. Clean the old residue from the windshield using a razor blade and isopropyl alcohol.
