Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 Cadillac Eldorado. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Connect the electrical connector to the low coolant sensor.
  2. Install the surge tank.
    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.
  3. Install the surge tank retaining bolts.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the surge tank bolts to 6 N.m (53 lb in).

  4. Connect the surge tank outlet hose.
  5. Connect the surge tank inlet hose.
  6. Install the battery. Refer to BATTERY REPLACEMENT in Engine Electrical.
  7. Fill the cooling system. Refer to Draining and Filling Cooling System .
