Fuel System Pressure Release
Turn ignition off. Loosen fuel filler cap to relieve fuel tank pressure. Remove fuel pump relay from the junction box. Junction box is located behind left kick panel. See Fig 1 . Crank the engine. Allow the engine to start and stall. Crank the engine for an additional 3 seconds to ensure the relieve of any remaining fuel pressure. Disconnect the negative battery cable in order to avoid repressurizing the fuel system. Install the fuel pump relay to the junction box. Tighten the fuel filler cap.
