Installation Procedure

NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.
  1. Install the backup lamp switch (1) to the manual transmission upper case (2).

    Tighten 

    1. Tighten the backup lamp switch to 20 N.m (14 lb ft).

  2. Connect the electrical connector (1) to the backup lamp switch.
  3. Raise transmission and reinstall components. Refer to TRANSMISSION REPLACEMENT - 2WD or TRANSMISSION REPLACEMENT - 4WD in Manual Transmission.
  4. Lower the vehicle.
