Shift Cable

  1. Ensure shift cable is not restricted. Apply parking brake. Place gearshift lever in the NEUTRAL position. Loosen shift cable adjusting nut and lock nut (1) at transmission. See Fig 1 .
  2. Ensure transmission is in the Neutral position. Pull shift cable tight. Tighten adjusting nut, then the lock nut. See Fig 2 . Ensure indicated gear positions match transmission response.
