Removal Procedure

  1. Raise the vehicle. Support the vehicle.
  2. Remove the Heated Oxygen Sensor 2 (HO2S2). Refer to UPSTREAM HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR .
  3. Remove the 1 bolt and the clamp (3) securing the front pipe to the Three-Way Catalytic Converter (TWC).

    Remove the 2 bolts securing the Three-Way Catalytic Converter (TWC) to the muffler/tail pipe assembly.

  4. Remove the hangers from the rear of the TWC.
  5. Remove the TWC from the vehicle.
  6. Clean the gasket and seal mating surfaces.
