Throttle Body: Removal

  1. Remove the air inlet duct. Remove the Positive Crankcase Ventilation (PCV) breather hose. Remove the Throttle Position (TP) sensor connector. Rotate the throttle lever and disconnect the accelerator cable and the throttle valve cable, if equipped.
  2. Disconnect the electrical connector from the Idle Air Control (IAC) valve. Drain the cooling system. Remove the 2 coolant hoses from the throttle body. Remove the accelerator cable bracket and throttle body bolt. Remove the throttle body nuts.
  3. Remove the throttle body and the gasket from the intake manifold. Clean any remaining throttle body gasket from the intake manifold.
