Installation Procedure

Install new sealing washers onto the A/C compressor hose assembly. Refer to Sealing Washer Replacement .

Install the A/C compressor hose to the A/C compressor.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

Install the A/C compressor hose nut to the A/C compressor.
Tighten: Tighten the nut to 33 N.m (24 lb ft).

Install the lower air deflector. Refer to Radiator Air Baffle and Deflector Replacement - Lower in Engine Cooling.
Install the new O-ring seal to the A/C compressor hose assembly. Refer to O-Ring Replacement .
Install the A/C compressor hose to the accumulator.
Install the A/C compressor hose nut to the accumulator.
Tighten: Tighten the nut to 16 N.m (12 lb ft).

Install the A/C compressor hose to the condenser.
Install the A/C compressor hose nut to the condenser.
Tighten: Tighten the nut to 16 N.m (12 lb ft).
Install the air cleaner assembly.
Evacuate and recharge the A/C system. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging .
Leak test the fittings of the component using J 39400-A . See Special Tools .
