Installation Procedure

NOTE: Use care when removing or installing the headliner. Excessive bending will damage the headliner.
  1. Position the headliner in the vehicle.
  2. Use adhesive tape GM P/N 9986080 in order to connect the electrical harness to the headliner.
  3. Connect the connector to the rear view mirror and the body electrical harness.
  4. Connect the connector to the sunroof electrical harness.
  5. Install the push-in retainers (3) to the headliner.
  6. Install the dome lamp. Refer to DOME LAMP REPLACEMENT .
  7. Install the sunroof power switch, if equipped.
  8. Install the finish lace to the sunroof opening trim, if equipped.
  9. On the coupe install the rear quarter trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Rear Quarter .
  10. On the sedan install the following:
    1. 10.1. Install the upper rear quarter trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Rear Quarter Upper .
    2. 10.2. Install the center pillar upper trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Upper Center Pillar .
  11. Install the windshield upper garnish molding. Refer to Garnish Molding Replacement - Windshield Pillar .
  12. Install the coat hooks. Refer to Coat Hook Replacement (Sedan)  or Coat Hook Replacement (Coupe)  .
  13. Install the sunshades. Refer to Sunshade Replacement .
  14. Install the assist strap, if equipped. Refer to Assist Strap Replacement .
