Preliminary Inspection
Check PWR SEAT/PSD circuit breaker (30-amp), located in instrument panel fuse block. If circuit breaker is open, check Orange wire for a short to ground between fuse block and RSDACM. Check IGN 1 fuse (10-amp), located in instrument panel fuse block. If fuse is open, check Pink wire for a short to ground between fuse block and RSDACM. Check RADIO fuse (10-amp) located in underhood fuse block. See Fig 1. If fuse is open, check Orange wire for a short to ground between underhood fuse block and RSDACM. Check B/U LAMP fuse (10-amp) located in underhood fuse block. If fuse is open, check Orange wire for a short to ground between underhood electrical center and transaxle range switch. Transaxle range switch is located at rear left side of engine compartment, on top of transaxle. Inspect ground circuits. Ground points are both located near bottom of right "B" pillar.
Keep bright light away from optical sensor when servicing vehicle. A bright light could cause system to loose track of where it is positioned. Check mechanical operation of sliding door before beginning electrical diagnosis. Check right door contact plate (door mounted and pillar mounted) for corrosion and good contact. Right door lock switch plate is located on right "B" pillar. Before reinitializing Power Sliding Door (PSD), check if any DTCs are set. If diagnostics cannot be entered, check sliding door alarm to make sure connection is good. Always check terminal contact before replacing any component. Inspect for proper installation of aftermarket electronic equipment which may affect system operation.
