Lighting Diagnostic System Check

NOTE: LIGHTING DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK applies to courtesy/illuminated entry lights only.
  1. Attempt to enter Body Control Module (BCM) diagnostic mode. See ON-BOARD DIAGNOSTICS  . If BCM enters diagnostic mode, go to next step. If BCM does not enter diagnostic mode, perform TEST A: BODY CONTROL MODULE INOPERATIVE  under SYSTEM TESTS.
  2. If BCM does not display DTC 2 or DTC 3, go to next step. If BCM displays DTC 2 or DTC 3, perform DTC 2: COURTESY LIGHTS BATTERY FEED CIRCUIT  or DTC 3: COURTESY LIGHTS CONTROL CIRCUIT  under DIAGNOSTIC TESTS.
  3. If any other BCM DTCs are displayed, perform appropriate test in accordance with DTC retrieved. See BODY CONTROL MODULE DTC INDEX  table. If no BCM DTCs are displayed, repair courtesy/illuminated entry lights as necessary. See appropriate ILLUMINATION/INTERIOR LIGHTS article.
