Powertrain Control Module
Disconnect negative battery cable. Release plastic retainers with blade of screwdriver and remove PCM cover. See Fig 1 . Disconnect PCM connectors. Remove PCM. To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten fasteners to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . After installation, PCM will need to relearn its operating strategy. See COMPUTER RELEARN PROCEDURES article in GENERAL INFORMATION.
