Wheel Speed Sensor

Wheel Speed Sensors (WSS) are variable reluctance type. WSS is attached to steering knuckle on front wheels and in each rear brake assembly, and consists of a sensor and toothed sensor rings. AC voltage is generated when toothed sensor ring passes by sensor. Magnitude and frequency are proportional to wheel speed, and both will increase with speed. Air gap is not adjustable and sensor is not repairable.
