Throttle Valve Cable

  1. Inspect the Throttle Valve (T.V.) cable (1) for deflection or looseness. See Fig 1 . Verify that the T.V. (3) position is fully closed. Measure the T.V. cable boot-to-inner cable stopper clearance with a feeler gage. If the clearance is more than 0.04" (1.0 mm), adjust the T.V. cable.
  2. Adjust the T.V. cable boot-to-inner cable stopper (4) clearance by turning T.V. cable adjustment nuts (1, 2) until a clearance of 0.04" (1.0 mm) has been reached. See Fig 2 .
  3. Further adjustment on the T.V. cable adjustment nuts may not be available. If so, you may also use the accelerator cable adjustment nuts in order to adjust the clearance between the T.V. cable boot (3) and the inner cable stopper (4). See Fig 1 . Tighten T.V. cable lock nut and adjust the nut to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
