Remote Control Door Lock Receiver: Installation

  1. Install remote control door lock receiver to mounting bracket, if removed.
  2. Install door lock receiver (1) to vehicle. Secure receiver with retaining nut. Tighten remote control door lock receiver retaining nut to 89 INCH lbs. (10 N.m). See Figure .
  3. Connect remote control door lock receiver electrical connector.
  4. Install left instrument panel outer air outlet (1) to vehicle. Secure outlet with screw. See Figure .
  5. Install left instrument panel outer air outlet duct (2) to vehicle. Secure outlet duct with plastic retainer (1). See Figure .
  6. Reposition junction block No. 2 (1) back into position. Secure junction block with screw (2). See Figure
  7. Install 2 bolts which secure knee bolster reinforcement (1) and tighten knee bolster reinforcement bolts to 89 INCH lbs. (10 N.m). See Figure .
  8. Install 2 bolts (3) which secure instrument panel driver's side knee bolster trim (1) and tighten knee bolster trim bolts to 89 INCH lbs. (10 N.m). See Figure .
  9. Connect negative battery cable.
  10. Reprogram remote control door lock receiver. See TRANSMITTER PROGRAMMING  under PROGRAMMING.
