Driver-Side Air Bag Inflator Module: Installation
- Inspect air bag inflator module for cracked deployment cover, damaged harness or evidence of physical damage (module dropped etc.).
- Fit inflator module onto steering wheel and install mounting bolts. Ensure inflator module is aligned. Tighten inflator module bolts. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . On Metro & Firefly (Canadian), connect 2 horn wire connectors. On all models, reconnect negative battery cable. Enable air bag system. See DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM .
