Test F: Front Wipers Inoperative With Front Wiper/Washer Switch In Hi Position
- If front wiper/washer system operation check has been performed, go to next step. If front wiper/washer system operation check has not been performed, perform front wiper/washer system operation check. See FRONT WIPER/WASHER SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK under TROUBLE SHOOTING.
- Turn ignition switch to RUN position. Move front wiper/washer switch to HI position. Measure voltage between ground and front wiper motor harness connector by backprobing terminal No. 2 (Blue/Red wire). If battery voltage does not exist, go to next step. If battery voltage exists, go to step 4 .
- Disconnect combination switch 8-pin harness connector. Disconnect front wiper motor 6-pin harness connector. Measure resistance in Blue/Red wire between combination switch harness connector terminal No. 1 and front wiper motor harness connector terminal No. 2. If resistance is less than 2 ohms, go to step 5 . If resistance is 2 ohms or more, go to step 6 .
- Replace front wiper motor. After repair, perform FRONT WIPER/WASHER SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK under TROUBLE SHOOTING.
- Replace combination switch. After repair, perform FRONT WIPER/WASHER SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK under TROUBLE SHOOTING.
- Repair open in Blue/Red wire between combination switch and front wiper motor. After repair, perform FRONT WIPER/WASHER SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK under TROUBLE SHOOTING.
