Test B: Security Indicator Light Inoperative

  1. If theft deterrent system diagnostic system check has been performed, go to next step. If theft deterrent system diagnostic system check has not been performed, perform THEFT DETERRENT SYSTEM DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK  under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM.
  2. While observing instrument cluster, turn ignition switch to ON position. If SECURITY indicator light does not illuminate when turning ignition switch to ON position, go to next step. If SECURITY indicator light illuminates when turning ignition switch to ON position, system is okay at this time.
  3. Replace instrument cluster. See INSTRUMENT CLUSTER  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Operate system to verify repair. If problem still exists, go to step  2 .
