Cruise Control Cable: Installation
- Route cruise control cable from cruise control module to throttle body. Remove all bends and twists from cruise control module ribbon and cable by rotating ribbon. See Fig 1
. Pull the cruise control cable from throttle linkage end until cable is taut.
- Install cable bead to buckle on end of ribbon on cruise control module. Check orientation of cruise control ribbon buckle to cable end fitting. Snap cruise control cable fitting into cruise control module.
- Verify that cable fitting locking tabs are expanded and tabs are locked in bracket hole. Install cruise control cable fitting into round hole in cable bracket. Connect cable end to throttle linkage. Adjust cruise control cable. See CRUISE CONTROL CABLE
under ADJUSTMENTS. Install the air cleaner assembly.
