Front Door Trim Panel: Installation
NOTE:
Use correct fastener in correct location. Replacement fasteners must be correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage fastener. Use correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
- Position trim panel to front door. Connect power door lock switch harness connector. Engage inner belt molding over door flange and press down. Align trim panel retainers and press in until retainers are fully seated.
- Install door panel door trim panel screws (3). See Fig 1 . Tighten panel screws to 18 INCH lbs. (2 N.m). Install door armrest screw (1). Tighten armrest screws to 27 INCH lbs (3 N.m). Install upper trim finish panel. Install upper trim panel screws. Tighten panel screws to 9 INCH lbs. (1 N.m).
