Strut Assembly: Reassembly

  1. Install strut mount into strut compressor, if removed. Mount strut into compressor. Extend strut rod and attach Rod Clamp (J-34013-20) onto lower portion of strut rod.
  2. Install components onto strut rod. Ensure flat side of upper spring seat is aligned with lower strut-to-steering knuckle mounting flange. Install Guide Rod (J-34013-197) to center components on strut rod. Remove guide rod when threads are visible on strut rod.
  3. Install strut rod nut. Using a socket, hold strut rod stationary while tightening nut on top of strut rod. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  . Remove rod clamp.
