Test F: Power Sliding Door Open/Close Inoperative With Transmitter

  1. Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Ensure Power Sliding Door (PSD) lockout switch is in ON position. Unlock right sliding door. Press PSD open/close button located in overhead console. If PSD operates, go to next step. If PSD does not operate, see POWER SLIDING SIDE DOORS - MONTANA, SILHOUETTE & VENTURE.
  2. Perform keyless entry transmitter test. See TRANSMITTER TEST  under COMPONENT TESTS. Attempt to operate PSD using keyless entry transmitter. If PSD does not open/close, go to next step. If PSD opens/closes, system is okay.
  3. Disconnect Remote Control Door Lock Receiver (RCDLR). Using a fused jumper (10-amp), connect momentarily between RCDLR connector terminal "H" (Light Blue wire) and ground. See Figure . If PSD opens/closes, go to next step. If PSD does not open/close, go to step  5 .
  4. Inspect RCDLR connector for poor connections. If connector is okay, replace RCDLR. See REMOTE CONTROL DOOR LOCK RECEIVER  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
  5. Repair poor connection or open in Light Blue wire between RCDLR and rear side door actuator control module.
