Pass-Key(R) III System Operation Check
- Using scan tool, check for PASS-Key(R) III system DTCs. See DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM. Repair as necessary. Attempt to communicate with PCM. If scan tool does not communicate with PCM, see DATA LINK CONNECTORS article in WIRING DIAGRAMS. If scan tool does communicate with PCM, go to next step.
- Attempt to operate courtesy lights and power door locks. If courtesy lights or power door locks are inoperative, see appropriate BODY CONTROL MODULES article. If no problem was found, go to next step.
- Check for BCM DTCs. See appropriate BODY CONTROL MODULES article. Repair as necessary. If no DTCs are present, system is okay.
