Test 9: CTD System Feature Customization Inoperative

  1. Turn headlight switch to PARK position. If exterior lights are on, go to next step. If exterior lights are not on, repair exterior light circuits as necessary. See EXTERIOR LIGHTS article. Retest system.
  2. Remove key from ignition switch. Turn instrument panel dimmer switch off. Turn interior lights override switch on to enable interior lights. With driver's door open, press LOCK button on door lock switch. Close all vehicle doors. Insert key in left front, right front or liftgate door key lock cylinder. While observing interior courtesy lights, turn and hold key for one second in order to unlock door. If interior courtesy lights turn on for 40 seconds, perform BCM system check. See appropriate BODY CONTROL MODULES article. If interior courtesy lights do not turn on for 40 seconds, repair interior courtesy light circuits as necessary.
