Circuit Description

Crankshaft position sensor is used to indicate crankshaft position so PCM can determine which cylinder is misfiring when a misfire is present. CKP sensor receives a 6 pulse signal from crankshaft reluctor wheel.

DTC will set when engine is running and no signal si present from CKP sensor with PCM receiving 20 pulses from CMP sensor.
