System Operation Check

  1. Turn ignition switch to RUN position. Pull back wiper/washer switch. Washer should operate as long as switch is held. Wipers should operate at low speed as long as switch is held and sweep once after switch is released, and then return to Park.
  2. Move wiper/washer switch to LO position, wipers should operate at low speed. Move switch to HI position, wipers should operate at high speed.
  3. Move wiper/washer switch to INT position. Wipers should operate in intermittent mode. Adjust INT TIME switch from SLOW to FAST position. Delay should vary from 1-4 seconds.
  4. Move wiper/washer switch to OFF position. Wipers should return to Park position.
  5. If wiper system does not function properly, perform appropriate symptom test. See SYMPTOM INDEX  table under SYMPTOM TESTS.
